What is a private address like 192.168.1.254 ?
Saying it’s a private address means it’s one of a block of addresses that are used and reserved to set up private network. It means, your device, using this address won’t be able to be reached out from the internet using this address. But any device connected to it will be able to access any other connected device, got it ? The router will assign a different IP address to all devices connected to the private network. Only one device (router) could use the 192.168.1.254 to avoid IP conflicts.

Once logged in, be sure to secure your username and password by changing them. Anyone could connect to your router using the default credentials and make some nasty changes to your network… If you’re experiencing such problems the only solution is to reset your router to set all settings back to original.
